Middle Grades Partnership forges partnerships  between public and private schools to provide: 

• summer and school-year learning opportunities for academically promising Baltimore City middle school students, and
  
  
• innovative professional learning opportunities for public and private school teachers.

Our highly praised partnership model brings together public and private schools to change the trajectory of Baltimore middle school students.

Teachers from both school communities combine their expertise and work side-by-side. The result: high-quality, rigorous programs that don’t look or feel like “traditional” school! 

What We Do

Since 2005, we’ve served over 1,200 Baltimore City middle school students through summer and school-year programs that stimulate rather than remediate.

Academic instruction focuses on math, reading, and writing. We also integrate the arts, athletics, personal development, and field trips. Each partnership draws on their schools' strengths to develop unique programs. We currently have 8 partnership sites serving over 400 kids, and no two programs are identical!
