About Us

The Middle Grades Partnership offers academically promising Baltimore middle school students the opportunity to excel in the city's most challenging high schools by providing them with comprehensive summer and after-school learning opportunities.

The partnership is made up of Baltimore area public and independent schools and universities and is funded by members of the Baltimore community.

Established in 2005, the Middle Grades Partnership aims to:

• Arm students with the reading and writing skills needed to excel in the knowledge and technology-based economy of the 21^st century.
• Surround students with individualized care and attention so that they view themselves as destined to soar.
• Train teachers to accurately assess students' strengths and weaknesses while teaching for maximum student learning and self-confidence.
• Reach across cultural boundaries of race and class.
