The Garrison Middle School/Roland Park Country School MGP program is called Growing Girls and Gardens (GGG). GGG's garden at Garrison Middle School was entered in the Maryland Cooperative Extension Service's Youth Gardens Contest during the summer of 2009. Each year the Community Gardens of Baltimore have a City Farm Supper where awards are given for many different categories. Judges from the extension service evaluate each garden in a number of different categories including soil quality, pest control, production, and artwork. At the City Farms and Community Gardens Supper held on August 1, 2009 at War Memorial Plaza, Growing Girls and Gardens received a 1st place ribbon for the Youth Garden Award.
