Curriculum Goals
Mathematics
MGP participants will be ready to take Algebra I by the beginning of 8th grade and will successfully complete Algebra I by the end of 8th grade.
Writing
By the end of the third MGP summer, students will view themselves as writers and will be able to write clear and convincing descriptive or expository paragraphs and multi-paragraph essays.
Reading
By the end of the third MGP summer, students will view themselves as readers. Their reading comprehension skills will be at or above grade level, they will read willingly for pleasure, and they will easily cite text to support interpretation.
